Man Of Steel Prologue: Doomsday by kinjamin Man Of Steel Prologue: Doomsday by kinjamin
According to the book 'Man of Steel: Inside The Legendary World of Superman', the armor that Zod and Jor-El wear is fashioned from a type of animal bone. This inspired me to do a Doomsday piece since -let's face it- Doomsday's physical shtick is jagged bone. It made complete sense (to me anyway) The analogy here is that Doomsday is to Kal-el what a gigantic spiny murderous silverback gorilla would be to us.

I know it requires a few adjustments to Doomsday's origin, but I'm not even sure said origin has been intact the past few years after Infinite Crisis.

So you'll notice different bone regions on Doomsy is directly tied into specific armor pieces. (the forehead bone, for instance, is Jor-El's shoulder pad) -- Faora's knife is made from one of the knuckle bones.

One bit of irony I wanted to add in the dialogue (but had no room) was that Doomsday is currently being shackled by the remains of his dead brethren.

I just set-up MoS 3 for you, WB.... you're welcome.

(UPDATE: fixed the typo. Can't believe I did that.)

I always found Doomsday to be a one note villain. I'd have found it more interesting if he was the Kryptonian equivalent of a gorilla, but not a monster. Just an animal. One that was trainable, could even be docile (the bone spines and such are purely for attracting mates and intimidating rivals). But Lex Luthor finds one of them that was serving as a test animal for a Kryptonian space pod, and using neural implants and torture turns it into a rampaging monster to use against Superman. In the aftermath, the creature is just as much a victim as Superman...

Now this is how they should have portrayed Doomsday in 'Batman vs Superman'. So much more interesting!

Doomsday was engineered on Krypton by the mad scientist Bertron, in the prehistoric age before the Kryptonians even existed on the surface of the planet.

I kinda like this origin better to the one that's cannon. I mean the reason humans are on top of tje food chain is because we have intelligence, but if we try to fight a gorilla with our bare jands, odds are we'd loose, not saying that it's impossible, but not probable. I do like how you had the same elements of Doomsday's adaption ability.

Phantom Zone.

Now that's where Superman SHOULD have put Zod in, instead of lowering himself to his level and murdering him, thereby making Superman no better than Zod.

Snyder really raped Superman

Clark wasn't lowered to Zod's level by killing him, Zod was going to kill people right in front of him, Clark saw a chance to stop him and took it, thus saving several innocent lives that he wouldn't have been able to if he let Zod live.

There is ALWAYS another way. Superman doesn't kill. Period. That isn't his way. He would have found another way.

Superman committed murder. Pure and simple. Don't make excuses for poor handling and disregard for his core beliefs. The very thing that makes Superman Superman. Any true Superman fan would know this and be vehemently against it.

Now Superman is a murderer. Murder is bad, and if you're okay with it, something is wrong with you

So by your logic, it's wrong for soldiers to kill terrorists as well?  Should they pull the trigger and stop them once and for all, or try to hold hands with them, hoping they won't do it again?

System of a Down once said in a chorus, "Why don't presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor?"  We send soldiers to fight our wars for us because we can't do it ourselves, and I can say that because I was a soldier.

Murder is bad, you say?  You're right, but that's what ended World War 2.

"He would have found another way." There WAS no other way, it was either he kill Zod or stand by and let those people die. Any true Superman would know that he would do anything to protect innocent lives.

You say there was no other way, but ask yourself this: What if there wasn't?

In many cases, there are other ways to do things. But in some cases, such as with Zod in the movie, there is no other way. I seriously can't believe that you would consider Superman a murderer, Zod would have killed countless innocents if he was left alive, and there deaths would have been on Superman's hands as well.

You're acting like this is the first time superman has ever killed anyone, such as doomsday and more importantly Zod, Faora and quex-el in the comics which took place around 30 years before "Man of Steel" was made, and you're acting like he just killed Zod for fun. He didn't want to kill Zod and he showed that almost immediately after doing so. So don't try to say that Snyder "raped" superman by having him kill, because all that does is show just how uneducated about superman you are.
